International Film Festival DocBoat / Warsaw NON-fiction e-fest

… kindly invites you to enter films to its first edition, to be held on September 2009 on the Polish Internet.
DocBoat / Warsaw NON-fiction e-fest will be the biggest Polish festival of DOCUMENTARY FILM. It will be an international showcase of documentary films on ecology, water, social & political engagement, transformation and OTHER IMPORTANT CHALLENGES OF THE 21ST CENTURY, screened live by the Vistula riverbank in a boat (a barge) and virtually on the Internet.
DocBoat / Warsaw NON-fiction e-fest includes film competition with international juries (for feature length documentaries), some sections out of competition – e.g. “the water issue”, “the Internet”, “transformation”, tributes and retrospectives, panel debates, a masterclass with Slawomir Grunberg for Polish viewers, and many other events.
A website of DocBoat – www.docboat.pl – will be launched very soon.
At the 1st edition of DocBoat we would like to screen about 60 documentary films (including 16 films in the competition feature length section).

Deadline for entries is July 17, 2009 (date of postmark deemed to be date of delivery).
