22.2., 21 Uhr, Schaubude, Kiel: „Rediscovering Argentine Silent Cinema: 1900-1924“, live vertont von Alan Curtis (bekannter Experimentalmusiker aus Buenos Aires, www.geocities.com/a_courtis).
Zum Programm: This film contains some of the the earliest images produced by Argentinian cinematography. It compiles several short scenes that were shooted in 35mm from 1900 to 1924, many of them by unknown filmakers. Most of this stuff has not been screened in public for many years and it has an important documental and filmic value. Originally these movies were exhibited along with live music. In this program the sound will come from a live music performance oriented to experimental drone and abstract noise. The compilation includes the following short shootings: „La Creación del Himno“ (1910) and „La Revolución de Mayo“ (1910) by Mario Gallo, „El Ascenso del Globo Huracán, Festejos del Centenario de la Revolución“ (1910) by Anonymous, „La Pampa“ (1922) and „Exposición de la Industria“ (1924) by Federico Valle, „Vistas y Actualidades“ (1910-1916) produced by Max Glücksmann.
