17. Seagate Foyle Film Festival – Call for Entries

Seagate Foyle Film Festival is now inviting submissions for the festival competition from filmmakers all over the world for their 2004 festival.

In addition to the Annual Competition the festival is dedicating some programme time in 2004 to screening Digital Films ‘Out of Competition’. This gives the low budget short film and feature filmmaker the opportunity to showcase their talents alongside directors who work in film print.

COMPETITION SCREENINGS:

Categories: Best Irish Short, Best International Short, Best Animation, Best Feature, Best Documentary.

Duration: Shorts must be between 3 – 40 mins. There is no time limit for the other categories (Feature, Animation and Documentary).

Formats: Selection Process: VHS, NTSC, DVD. Accepted Entries: 35mm or 16mm for all categories, excluding Documentary. For Documentary category we accept 35mm, 16mm, and all digital formats, excluding Digibeta, Beta SP NTSC & DVCam Pro.

DIGITAL SCREENINGS (OUT OF COMPETITION):

Categories: Short Live Action, Feature Films.

Duration: Shorts must be between 5 – 10 mins.

Formats: Selection Process: VHS, NTSC, DVD. Accepted Entries: All digital formats (excluding Digibeta, Beta SP NTSC & DVCam Pro) for selected films.

DEADLINES FOR “COMPETITION” AND “OUT OF COMPETITION” ENTRIES:

The deadline date for entry submission is 1st September 2004. Fees of £ 5.00 will be charged if your print arrives by the 23 August and £ 10.00 if it arrives by 1 September, we have included an extended deadline of 6 September, where a fee of £ 20 will be charged. No entries will be accepted after this extended deadline date.
